Erika: "In the River Havel, a stand was constructed. Then we waited, hour after hour, for the correct sunlight! Everything then proceeded quickly. I had to jump from the stand into the river, and submerge. It was late summer, and not very warm! For my jump, an additional dress and hat was made. Fortunately, the scene succeeded the first time!"

Erika: "Working with Fritz Genschow was enriching. The atmosphere was very casual. Each of us had to do more than act. Whoever acted for Genschow, must also be able to do at least one film production job. I helped Genschow with the editing."
